This is a very different book than most of the books that are out there for teens now.  It's not a vampire book or a book about the super rich or famous.  It's about a lady in Botswana who decides to open up a detective agency because her town doesn't have one.  The book is all about her life and all of her cases which are usually hilarious.  It's a whole series with ten books.  Erika, 17

Hero by Perry Moore

The Host by Stephenie Meyer

Rose Madder by Stephen King

Good read, interesting story, but very violent.  Sam, 17

A Farewell To Arms by Ernest Hemingway

This book lacked emotion.  It is about a man who falls in love with a nurse during WWI and he gets injured and deserts the army.  It was a terrible book because he shows no emotion, and there are many run-on sentences.  The ending is awful too.  Ariel, 16
