Teens may register for the activities between May 17 and June 4 by calling 547-2661 and asking for Lisa Hammack, or by e-mail to kidstcpublib@tcpclibrary.org, or by stopping by library.
The annual summer reading program will begin on June 1. To do the reading program the teens just need to come by the library and pick up a reading sheet. (They do not have to pre-register for the reading program.) Read two books, write down the titles, and tell as little or as much as they want to about why they liked or didn’t like the books. When they turn the sheet back in, they may choose a small prize and their name will be entered into a drawing for the Grand Prizes of two $50.00 Visa gift cards, then they may take another sheet, read more books, etc.
There will be some word puzzle activities also going on that teens may do at their leisure. When teens finish the word puzzles and turn them in, they will receive a small prize and their name will be entered into a drawing to win a “Wild about Reading” t-shirt.
The Grand Prize drawings will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3 during the Teen Advisory Group’s monthly meeting in the meeting room at the library.
